1942 D Walker Half
This was my first silver half dollar found. I drove by an old park and saw what appeared to be some construction going on. I later drove by to check things out... It turned out that the area was a new addition to the park, had been leveled, and there were still some orange construction flags around one area. It was close to the surface (~1" down) and probably had been moved around by the leveling equipment (see the dent on one side). I later heard that this area have been the previous site of a carnival that would stop there in the 1940's. This coin was a fun discovery.
